Wedding Dinner At JW marriot Jalan Bukit Bintang

On Nov 11th, attended my cousin’s wedding dinner at JW Marriot located at the end of Bukit Bintang or some would say at the begining. Right opposite Pavilion KL shopping center. Some info about the area. Parking around the area is quite expensive. Some goes by hourly with no limit. Best place to park would be at STARHILL for weekends. Charging 5 bucks flat for the whole day. But be caution, the twist n turning inside the car park is quite narrow so be careful dont get your car scretch. Alright, back to my main topic. Had been to the ballroom once. This is my second time being there. The place was quite glamourous, ambiance was good and none the less about the tip-top services. Food was just okay only. The dinner started off with a cocktail party at 7pm. Welcoming all guests to have a drink n chit chat with one another. The whole point of doing so is to accomodate those who’s gonna come late. Well, people are not always punctual. As we knew, malaysian’s have their own clock that they refer to. Dinner starts off at 8pm ish. With bride n groom walked into the ballroom. Both went straight up to stage to give short speeches. Cousin looked like almost wanted to burst into tears when she gave her speech. Ahem.. Then followed by their wedding photo slides. More photos n slides n video’s during the dinner. I think thats a bit overkill. Dinner ended up with desert which i like. Think thats the one thing in the menu that I find it interesting. After that its bidding farewell to the guest.

p/s: Din take much photo this time. Was actualy playing with the functions on my camera. All photos ended up badly.

Seafood Dinner At Twenty One Kitchen + Bar @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

Wednesday, we had our dinner at Twenty One Kitchen + Bar off Changkat Bukit Bintang. Twenty One’s Map. Love the ambiance and the nice seafood there. We did reserved a table. Just in case they ran out of table. Reached there pretty early at around 7pm but it was quite empty as the working class hasn’t step out of the office yet. However, the crowd begun to arrive at 9pm with food and cocktails flowing around to server them. I have pan fried sea bass for my main and leaky potato soup for my starter. All nicely done. For the desert part, what more to say. Sweet and yummy!! Okay, enough said enjoy the pictures.

There are other restaurants nearby as well. Newly open ones such as Bermuda and Onion off Changkat Bukit Bintang. Too bad most of them don’t have a website. Will definitely try it next time.

Company Chinese New Year dinner was held at Noble House Restaurant at Jalan Delima opposite Kah Soh Restaurant or some where near RHB Building or take a look at Noble House’s Map. There’s almost 13 of us. It goes by per head count which we estimated around 10 person. Each of our portion cost around RM200++. Yes its fixed price tag, even if you didnt come. They still charge you for it. Starts off with Low Sang, Fried Lobster/Lobster Salad, Shark Fin Soup (No encouraging people to order this, shark are becoming extinct), BBQ pig and etc.

Christmas And New Year Company Dinner at Rick’s Cafe Casablanca One Bangsar

Company year end/Christmas dinner was held at Rick’s Cafe Casablanca One Bangsar. Its located somewhere behind Bangsar Village, if the shopping complex is on your right and the shop lots is on your left then just go straight after the traffic light. You will see it on your right. Just park across the road as there’s plenty of parking space if you arrive early during dinner time. The ambiance was great not too crowded on a Thursday evening with jazz music playing softly on background. Its a good place for friends to gather around to chit chat while enjoying the food. Food serves here are mostly western. The food wasn’t too bad. I am not too picky about any type of food so anything taste good means eatable. Ha. I had a burger and it was quite filling at the end as I added some extra stuff like bacon, egg and ham. No more space for desert. Since it was a Christmas dinner. We did exchange presents among colleagues. But we sort of knew who/what are we buying for one another. My present was a bit of a surprise thou but its cool. Got this “Magic Gentlemen Evection And Tour Knife Set” from my country manager. Basically it has a knife, cutting board, bottle opener and fruit peeler inside the box. Well not quite close comparing it with a Swiss army knife but some tools are quite handy i think.
