Swimming on a Sunday at National Aquatic Center
Just a thought of going swimming I had today and I did not bother to think twice whether to go or not even though there’s a little bit of rain. Most people would probably stay home. But for me, just drive there dont think so much. I’ve been a regular pool visitor few years ago. I would normally go on weekdays or weekends depends on my schedule. But I have given up the will to go there ever since I started jogging. Reason is because driving to National Aquatic Center by myself for a 20 mins swim is time consuming. I can start jogging around the neighborhood at anytime I want. Besides that it also took me at least 30 mins to get there. If I am lucky enough I do not have to pay for my parking which cost 2 bucks if I am not mistaken. But that is not the issue. The admission fee isnt cheap. It cost RM 5 for weekends and RM 4 for weekdays to get in the National Aquatic Center. So basically you can do the calculation. In order to start swim you basically have to pay at least RM15 ~ 20 (including patrol for driving). So I think its not that worth it. Well, there’s another pool around PJ area but that is a bit doggy. There’s crack tiles at the bottom of the swimming pool. If your not careful enough you might cut yourself. So I would prefer to pay more to use a better facility.
